The Constitution of the
British Wado Federation
Valid From 1st January 2018
The British Wado Federation is a Full Member of the International Wado Federation
To preserve the traditional development and evolution of Wado Karate through independence and autonomy. We strive to accomplish this in an environment free of intimidation, politics, and other negative distractions. We further seek to foster a spirit of fellowship and understanding by welcoming all like-minded individuals, regardless of race, gender, ethnic background, religion, national origin, or physical handicap.
The British Wado Federation is a non-profit Governing Body for professionally run Karate Schools and not a commercially motivated or profit-based karate business.
The British Wado Federation only accepts Associate Members who are responsible, ‘self-governing and autonomous’. BWF Members will be considered ‘Allied Members’ to the British Wado Federation. There will be no control over Associate Members/Clubs, as they will have their own Constitution/Rules & Regulations for self-governance within their own Group/Association.
NB. As Associate Members run their own affairs; there will be no ‘control’ over members unless in points/breach of Law or Child Protection issues.
In respect to violation of such Law/s, or Child Protection issues, the relevant Associate Member will no longer be considered part of the British Wado Federation; as with immediate effect.
